‘Not Just a Community Enterprise' programme is designed for a wide range of groups and communities including:

• Young people
• Long-term unemployed people
• People with disabilities
• Older people
• Residents and tenants groups

All you need to get started is a group of at least 5 like-minded and motivated people. 

The community enterprise programme gives group members the opportunity to gain business/enterprise and employment skills and practical hands-on work experience within a supportive enterprise programme - and to generate income at the same time.

Typically, a community enterprise group programme will last up to 12 months with some groups continuing to grow and develop their activities beyond this period. The focus of the programme is on supporting people to work together to set up and run their own community enterprise, build up CVs, get back into the work place, experience entrepreneurship and strengthen community links. Group members get involved in marketing, business planning, sales, stock management, finance, pricing, PR and promotion, team-working; all through developing, packaging and selling products at events and directly to businesses and the wider community.
